HDT celebrates 20 years of supporting the community!

On June 14th 2024, the Hamilton Davies Trust team and invited guests enjoyed a celebratory party to mark 20 years of working together in support of the communities of Irlam, Cadishead and Rixton-with-Glazebrook.  Held at The Black Swan in Hollins Green, the evening was attended by over 100 guests including past and current staff, the three trustees, partners, volunteers and organisations that we’ve worked with over the years.

Trustee and Chair of HDT, Neil McArthur, warmly welcomed the guests and gave a heart-felt thanks to all present and absent for all they have done for the community.  He also thanked his fellow trustees Graham Chisnall and Frank Cocker for their unstinting support and the time and skills they have given freely over the two decades.

Local man Paul Elliot, spoke on behalf of the community to say a thank you to HDT for all we have given to the community, whether in grants for projects, professional support or advice, or administration assistance. He said the welcome groups and individuals receive when popping into the HDT office or using the community rooms at Hamilton Davies House was always a warm one.  Paul said he knew he spoke for many organisations who had been touched by HDT in various ways, and that the community as a whole was in a far better place today than it would have been without HDT’s support.

The party event was a time to celebrate and guests did just that, enjoying a fun evening with lots of conversation, catching up, food, dancing and dressing up for the photobooth shots!

A wonderfully memorable night for all, and a great celebration of 20yrs of achievements.
