HDT Annual Report 2020-21

The HDT Team have enjoyed another year of supporting the local communities of Irlam, Cadishead and Rixton-with-Glazebrook.  Following a very different 12 months it was interesting to reflect on the year April 2020 – April 2021 whilst producing the latest  HDT Annual Report.

Looking back it was surprising what a productive year we had, despite all the restrictions that the pandemic brought to working conditions and the Covid measures that we have all had to adhere to.

We are very proud of the team, who responded with speed and enthusiasm to adapt to the changes required and to new ways of working. The fantastic communication links we have with the community and its many groups and businesses enabled us to very quickly get in touch to find out what support they needed. As well as supporting local groups with the production of PPE masks and scrubs and their own projects, we also had several HDT projects on the go. In particular we took the opportunity to further develop displays and art pieces for the Heritage Hub at Irlam Station and on Station Park. We also turned our IT skills to producing virtual tour videos.

All grant applications, as usual were taken to the bi-monthly Trustees meetings for discussion and approval, where applicable.
