Volunteering
Would you like to make a difference in your local area?
Do you have some time to spare occasionally?
Do you have a skill to offer, or just enthusiasm and drive?
YES? Then we can use your help!
Hamilton Davies Trust(HDT) knows what a difference volunteering in your local community can make and how it can enhance lives and make the local area a place where people want to live, work and enjoy. Volunteering can be flexible. It can be a one off commitment for a specific period of time or recurring. The time commitment can be small or large, it’s entirely up to you.
Here are the types of HDT volunteering opportunities that you may wish to get involved in:
Environmental
- Help with tending plants in public spaces – in liaison with the Rotary and their ‘In Bloom’ scheme
- Litter picking, tidying and making the local area a more pleasant place to be – either with a group or individually
- Helping to support local cycling groups
Public Art
- Helping to support our IC ART programme, by assisting with our urban art projects
History
- Supporting the I&C History Society by helping to collate and file current local history information
- Helping with research for heritage projects
Partnering with others to achieve more
We also work in partnership with local fundraising groups and bodies who support the district. The following are always in need of helping hands. You could help by:
- Helping with Rotary with local poppy sales to aid fundraising
- Helping with the Rotary Christmas float collections
- Supporting the Poppy committee with preparing and/or installing lamppost poppies
