FRoGS host creative mosaic workshop at Glazebrook Station
A lovely creative craft morning, making mosaic tile coasters, was held on 6th August on the platform at Glazebrook Station.
The free craft session was facilitated by Hamilton Davies Trust (HDT) and run by Caroline Coates Illustration and Craft Workshops. HDT team member Suzanne liaised with the Friends of Glazebrook Station (FRoGS) to put on the workshop. FRoGS volunteers John and Ken were on hand on the morning to help out.
Suzanne said: “What a lovely morning we all had, with eleven adults creating their own mosaic designs inspired by Caroline. The workshop was a lovely addition to the popular craft workshops that HDT have facilitated in recent months, in co-ordination with local artists and held at different venues across the district. As a trust, we recognise how the Liverpool to Manchester Community Rail Partnership and its associated friends groups maintain our regional railway stations. We look forward to supporting other such event.”
Northern Railway supported the event and Craig Harrop, regional director for Northern, said in a press release:: “It’s fantastic to see Friends of Glazebrook Station are bringing members of the community together at this station and working hard to make improvements that all of our customers can enjoy.” To read the press release click here
Look out for future workshops which will be posted on HDT’s Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/hamiltondaviestrust
