A huge thank you to our former Trustees Graham and Frank
After 21 years dedicated service to Hamilton Davies Trust (HDT), two of our Trustees, Frank and Graham have now retired and we would like to thank them for everything they have done to help support Irlam, Cadishead and Rixton-with-Glazebrook. Their input, skills and knowledge have been invaluable to the success of the Trust and our ability to assist a whole range of community projects throughout the district over the past two decades. We thank them for all the time and expertise they have freely given and wish them all the very best for the future.
Moving forward HDT are delighted to welcome our new Trustees Phil Atkinson and Mike Mazurkiewicz who join our founder and Chair of the Trustees Neil McArthur who, along with volunteers and the staff team, will continue to support the district. Both Phil and Mike bring a wealth of experience and new skills to the Trust.
Phil (left of the picture) is a seasoned finance professional with over 30 years of experience in the hospitality industry. As Group Commercial Finance Manager, he plays a key role in managing operational finance and supporting strategic planning and governance, across the organisation. His career has been defined by a commitment to operational excellence, financial integrity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Born in Blackpool and raised in and around the Lancashire village of Great Eccleston, Phil has strong roots in the Fylde Coast, where his family has long-standing ties. He has lived in Manchester for the past 25 years, combining a deep appreciation for community with a distinguished career in finance. Outside of his professional role, Phil is committed to community service. He has served as Chairman of the Management Committee for Hollins Green Community Shop since its inception over 15 years ago and continues to support volunteering organisations that make a meaningful impact at a local level.
Mike (right of the picture) was born in Partington and his father worked at Irlam Steel Works and Carrington Power Station. Mike is Managing Director of three small Companies spanning Environmental and Geological Consultancy, Heritage Railways Operations and manufacturing for the Model Railways Industry.
Mike is proud to be joining the Trust and is looking forward to being part of HDT and supporting the local heritage community.
