Community coming together!

On the 4th December 2019 we hosted our third Community Christmas Concert, bringing together local people for some festive entertainment.

Over 250 guests enjoyed an exciting and fun programme at Irlam and Cadishead College,   including superb performances from: Irlam Primary School, St Teresa’s RC Primary School, Irlam and Cadishead College (ICC), the Evergreens and Cadishead Band.

Our chairman Neil McArthur and Toni Holdsworth from ICC welcomed guests and later participated in carol-singing, as well as listening to readings from Craig Thomas (ICC teacher), John Shiels (Manchester United Foundation CEO) and a poem by Alistair Harris-Wilson the winner of our HDT poetry competition.

Our festivities didn’t stop there! On Monday 17th December the HDT Elves were at Irlam Station, warming up the early morning commuters with a hot chocolate followed by the ‘Elves on Tour’ on Tuesday 18th December, when we toured Liverpool Road with Father Christmas!

We also hosted our first Christmas Coffee Morning at Hamilton Davies House on Wednesday 19th December 2018 where over 100 visitors from the community joined us for free tea, coffee, cakes and lots of festive cheer!
