Get creative with our new competition!

We recently launched a competition to celebrate the opening of I C Art’s fabulous new studio in Lower Irlam.

We want local people with artistic flair to show us their creativity by capturing ‘a day in the life of Irlam Station’.

You might want to reflect the hustle and bustle of people commuting, or friends relaxing with a cuppa in one of the Soap Works special carriages. Any subject that conveys what the station means to you and the community is eligible.

You can provide different genres of art covering: photography / film, painting / illustration, sculpture / model or digital.

The competition has two age categories: ‘under 18s’ and ‘overs’, with the winners and runners-up of each category having their work displayed at Irlam Station from late October, as part of a new initiative to bring temporary exhibitions to the heritage hub on a regular basis. The following prizes also apply:

2^nd        £30 Amazon vouchers       £30 vouchers for ‘The Station – Irlam’ Café Bar

3^rd      £20 Amazon vouchers       £20 vouchers for ‘The Station – Irlam’ Cafe Bar

Closing date: 4pm on Friday 13th October – so there’s lots of time to get your creative juices flowing.

You can either email your entries to [email protected] or drop them off at Hamilton Davies House on Liverpool Road.

Please note: All entries must be no bigger than A4 and accompanied by the artist’s name, age, email address and phone number, as well as a title or brief caption.
