The academy caters for amateur boxers and the general public, offering boxing as a recreational activity, sport, and a method of keeping fit and also providing self-defence techniques.
ABA relies on subs and kind donations from sponsors to run the club and the coaches donate their time for free.
£1,750 from HDT has packed a punch in helping them pay for new shower facilities where they didn’t have any and new equipment such as head guards, gloves and punch bags. Boxers are split into four groups: 4-8 year olds, 8-16 year olds, adults and carded boxers.
