City Bankers Paint Pre-School

Five members of a private banking team in Manchester city centre helped Irlam preschool group Little Rascals to give their premises a fresh lick of paint.

Ben Griffiths, Simone Bilton, Danielle Bamber, James Hymers and Jon Sherlock (pictured) from private bank Brown Shipley took a day off work to complete the makeover.

Their much-appreciated voluntary work was part of Hamilton Davies Trust’s (HDT’s) Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme.

HDT consultant general manager Mandy Coleman said: “We were contacted by Julia Block, from Irlam and Cadishead Health Improvement Service, who told us Little Rascals needed help to spruce up their premises. We got in touch with Brown Shipley to ask if they could help and the answer was and enthusiastic ‘yes’.”

Mandy added: “The makeover was funded thanks to Jon Sherlock foregoing birthday gifts and instead asking his
friends to donate cash to HDT, which we then used to buy the paint for Little Rascals.”Brown Shipley News 2

Liz Williams, manager at Little Rascals, added: “We were very grateful to receive this help and the office and hallway now look great. The guys from Brown Shipley had never done any community work like this before and said they really enjoyed it – so much so that they would love to help HDT to help the community again in the future.”
